Hughston Clinic
75th Anniversary Art
Make no bones about it—One Of A Kind was delighted to work with Hughston Clinic once again on anniversary art. To celebrate this premier Orthopaedic practice’s 75th anniversary, Lawrence Romorini created a companion piece to complement their 50th anniversary art. Hughston, which has expanded its reach from Georgia to include Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama, is recognized as a center of excellence for research, education, training, and quality treatment of musculoskeletal injury and disease.
Hughston’s story—their impressive accolades, growth, medical expertise, and advancements to the field of Orthopaedics—shines through the 3-dimensional display. The art, measuring approx. 52″ x 37″ x 7″, is installed in the Foundation’s library. It includes over 200 miniature items—photos, medical journals, awards, x-rays (before and after surgeries!), and 3D medical devices. A timeline borders the art on either side with a photoengraved skeleton peeking out.
The collage honors founder Dr. Jack C. Hughston and the dedicated team of physicians and staff at Hughston who have faithfully taken up the torch he lit.
