Arts, sports, science, dance, engineering, music, cooking, film, technology – our lives are rich with so many wonders that we have brought into our cultures. But these ideas, items, and inventions weren’t always a part of our world, and they definitely didn’t start at the level we experience them now. The beauty about humans is we have the discoverers and the pioneers; and then we have “masters” who take an idea and develop it to its greatest potential.

The concept of a shadow box is no different. The term shadow box, with the first known use in 1891, refers to a display case with an enclosed glass front that contains objects presented in a thematic grouping. The positioning and different depths of the objects create a dramatic visual effect. It offers a great way to preserve while still enjoy viewing memorabilia.

Texas Is A One Of A Kind State!

Texas REALTORS®, an organization dedicated to advocacy for realtors and private property rights in Texas, highlighted their 100^th anniversary at their February Winter Meeting in Austin by unveiling One Of A Kind 3-dimensional commemorative art created by Lawrence Romorini. The art, which measures 59” x 59” x 4”, reflects the profession’s complexity and progression since the founding in 1920.

The structure for Texas REALTORS’® artwork is in the shape of Texas, accented in gold-leaf, with the logo prominently featured. A Lone Star Flag design behind honors 100 years of Presidents and the enduring Texas REALTORS® Code of Ethics. Objects featured in the art include a replica President’s Trophy, “The State of Texas” collector’s pen, bluebonnet flowers, armadillo, cotton plant, various Texas REALTORS® pins, and much more.
