This 3-dimensional retrospective collage commemorates the first 75 years of St. Bernardine Medical Center and reflects the legacy of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. A slanted brass inner border surrounds the art and features the Medical Center’s values and timeline. The walnuts and oranges symbolize the founding of the hospital during The Great Depression, when nuns were sometimes paid with food—often local walnuts and oranges.
