A Legacy of Leadership: Honoring the Presidents of ASCE

When Pat Natale arrived at American Society of Civil Engineers as Executive Director in 2002, the Society honored their Presidents by displaying portrait photos in the boardroom during their lifetime. Natale hoped to find a more lasting way to acknowledge Presidents’ leadership and achievements. When he discovered One Of A Kind Art Studio at an ASAE Expo, Natale initiated a longstanding tradition unique to ASCE: 3-dimensional art commemorating the history of the profession and featuring Presidents’ portraits, photoengraved in metal, as the centerpiece. Florida Realtors Celebrates 100 Years of Being “The Voice for Real Estate in Florida”

Florida Realtors®, The Voice for Real Estate in Florida®, unveiled One Of A Kind 3-dimensional art by Lawrence Romorini at their Great American Realtors Days and Mid-Winter business meetings to launch the organization’s centennial year. Themed “The Sun and the Sea”, this 100th anniversary art contains scores of miniaturized photos, publications, logos, brochures and tools of the profession to showcase Florida Realtors® first century. The retrospective will travel again in August to display at Florida Realtors®’ annual meeting.

Celebrating Over A Century Of Improvements Through Labor

“Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country,” explains the Department of Labor. Congress passed an act in 1894 recognizing this national holiday.
