In 1907 my grandmother created this OSU pillowcase for beau Cree Sheets, a civil engineering student. With the Fiesta Bowl tomorrow, we celebrate a strong 3-generation Buckeye tradition that runs from my grandparents and dad to our treasured Ohio State family and friends 110 years later. These kinds of photos and amazing keepsakes are the stuff of great stories and great One of A Kind collages.

One Of A Kind Art’s Olympic Debut

The Rio Olympics bring back memories of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, where USA TODAY presented One Of A Kind art to President Jimmy Carter and wife Rosalynn. What an exciting and inspiring commission! The artwork commemorates President Carter’s dedication to promoting peace and understanding worldwide since leaving The White House. USA TODAY Publisher Tom Curley unveiled the art, which still hangs in the Carter Presidential Library in Atlanta, Georgia—20 years later. (more…)


Experience Revolutionary History at The Newseum

Last night we were fortunate to attend the Newseum’s reception and program “1776-Breaking News: Independence” in Washington, DC. Featured was a 240-year old edition of The Pennsylvania Evening Post, the first to publish the newly adopted Declaration of Independence. This rare newspaper is on loan to the Newseum from David Rubenstein, business leader, philanthropist and co-founder of The Carlyle Group. (more…)
