One Of A Kind: An Artist’s Vision
Lawrence Romorini founded One Of A Kind Art Studio in 1985 and began creating his signature three-dimensional commemorative collages. Born in Milan, Italy, Romorini is widely known for the unique skill and artistry he brings to chronicling history and accomplishments, with over one thousand works on display in corporate and private collections.
Praised by CEOs and celebrities alike, Romorini transforms the materials of everyday life – photos, publications, awards, industry-specific tools, and actual memorabilia –into stunning three-dimensional portraits that honor the past and celebrate the present.
Romorini’s originality, attention to detail, and exquisite craftsmanship have blended into the perfect medium for his talents, with clients as diverse as American Chemical Society, ESPN, General Electric, Oprah Winfrey and Johns Hopkins. Romorini was honored with a CLIO Award, the prestigious global recognition of creative excellence, for his extraordinary 75th anniversary art that commemorates the story of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
One Of A Kind: An Organized Process
Lawrence Romorini and Studio Director Donna Rome engage each client in the creative process from the outset. They initiate every commission by brainstorming with the client to learn what their art should communicate, identifying potential 3D artifacts and developing a strategy for the research.
Donna Rome, formerly USA TODAY’s Director of Newsroom Administration, meticulously reviews photos, publications, and 3-D memorabilia, editing to the essence of the story. Her team provides the client with everything they need to facilitate the project, including a list of suggested items, sample plaque dedications, copy editing and 3D miniatures to incorporate within the art. Typography can be a powerful design element to feature mission, values and potentially a timeline. One Of A Kind guides our clients in the use of engraved typography to convey a compelling message and express appreciation.
